Be Keisha’s Virtual Valentine!

Let’s heal Keisha’s heart(worms) this Valentine’s Day! Keisha came to BHRSC as part of our Hound Haul program from Texas last Summer where she was surrendered by her owner.  Keisha is about 5 years old and she is just adorable with the most expressive eyes. She is an unbelievably sweet and gentle cuddle bug that loves people and other dogs. She loves attention and is very generous with kisses! There is nothing to not love about her.

Keisha has been such a sweetheart despite all the changes she went through this past year.  From moving to different foster homes, to dealing with some serious medical issues, she has maintained her gentle demeanor and fighting spirit. Upon arrival to BHRSC, Keisha tested positive for heartworm disease and was unable to finish her course of treatment due to a sudden change in her foster home arrangement.  She will need to continue the heartworm treatment along with some additional diagnostic tests.  Keisha’s initial medical exam presented results that the doctors suspect may be cushing’s disease and/or diabetes insipidus.      

Keisha is currently thriving at her foster home, but she will need the support of our generous donors in order to continue to give her the care she needs. This Valentine’s Day, let’s show no love for Keisha’s heartworm. Let’s get her the treatment she deserves.   

You can be Keisha’s Virtual Valentine! You will receive a BHRSC sticker for donations over $25; a BHRSC pen and sticker for donations over $50; a BHRSC hoodie, t-shirt or tank for donations over $100; and for donations of $200 or more, you will receive all of the above (BHRSC sticker, pen, and a tee, tank or hoodie) plus a BHRSC coffee mug.
