Lucy
My name is Lucy and I'm a two-year-old hound. Before I ended up with BHRSC I had a hard time finding a place to stay. I was given up by at least two families who said I was mouthy and too much of a puppy. Fortunately, BHRSC found me a new dad who thinks puppies should behave like puppies. I finally found someone I can be myself around! Dad knows that I like to play a little on the rough side and that I just like to show off my perfect (and sharp!) pearly whites. Now I get to go for long walks every single day and I can play with Frankie and Izzy (both BHRSC Alumni) whenever I want. I even have my very own La-Z-Boy recliner at home. Life sure is good now! Thanks BHRSC!
Frankie
Hi! I'm James Franco but my friends call me Frankie. BHRSC found me the perfect forever home! I look like my Dad, Mom's a great cook, and I have a sweet big sister named Izzy to cuddle up with on the loveseat. As if life wasn't perfect enough, recently my human brother adopted a _GIRLFRIEND_ for me! Her name is Lucy and just like the song goes..."I Love Lucy and she loves me! We're as happy as two can be!" I get so excited when Lucy comes over to play! I dohave to say that Lucy is a bit on the dominant side and plays a little rough. And, I have to admit that I like it...A LOT! Lucy isirresistible! THANK YOU, BHRSC! YOU ARE THE BEST MATCHMAKERS EVER!
Barney
Barney joined our family three weeks ago and, once again, we hit the jackpot with a perfect match from BHRSC! He is our fifth rescue over four decades and our second from your amazing organization. He makes our family complete!
Thank you from the Neuhaus Family!
Mamie
Mamie was adopted at the BHRSC Spring Games in 2015. We brought our Basset Hound, Muffin, to the games and took Mamie home with us. They are great buddies and once again we are blessed with a healthy dog who fits right in with our lifestyle. Adopting through BHRSC is a win/win for all. The dogs are carefully screened for physical health as well as temperament, behavior and personality traits. We are blessed to have them and BHRSC!
Norman
Thank you BHRSC for taking such good care of Norman before we adopted him. I am convinced it was your volunteers' dedication that helped make Norman the sweet and funny hound that he is now. Our family feels complete now that he has arrived. He runs and plays with our Bella and Sherman, and we all cuddle on the bed at night!
Root Beer
Hi everyone! My name is Root Beer and this is how I like to spend my evenings. BHRSC found me a family that loves me no matter how many times I transplant their herb garden. My new family just laughs at me, and then they buy new herbs. I have two basset friends to follow everywhere, a buffet of new bones all of the time (to go with the fresh herbs), my own garden, lizards to chase, the big bed, lots of bling, and more puckers than anyone can imagine. Thank you very much BHRSC for finding me just the right family to celebrate my gardening and organizational skills. Things are really good!
