Howdy y’all! My name is Waylon! It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.  Allow me to introduce myself; I’m an energetic 16-month-old male basset hound, I’m new to BHRSC and I’m eager to meet my new family!

Here’s a bit about me: I’m a sweet fella and I love being pet and giving lots of affection in return, but I don’t always like to be kissed on my face.  I also don’t like having my nails trimmed, but what basset hound likes a nail trim anyway?!  I do love going on walks (I go for several walks a day), chasing bubbles and flashlights! I am a very athletic hound with somewhat longer legs, so I would be great with an active family. I have even heard that I might be part mountain goat because I can jump, climb, and get into places most hounds can’t (and shouldn’t)!

I love most everyone, but I don’t like to be startled so we think it’s best if my forever home doesn’t have young children. Waylon is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines.  He has also had lab work done. His adoption fee is $650.
