Hi everyone! My name is Toro and I am a 3 or 4-year-old male Basset Hound looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home.

I am a big guy and I have a lot of energy! I was affectionately referred to as a “tank” by vet staff. I love to run, play fetch, and tug-of-war.

I am looking for a very specific family to help me with some behavior problems and keep up with my medical care.

I am very food-motivated and have problems with resource guarding. My ideal family will work with me on that, following a specific behavior and training plan with the help of BHRSC. I could also use some guidance with basic manners because I love to jump when I greet people.

I also need a family that will keep up with my medical needs – I have allergies so my skin needs regular care and maintenance and BHRSC is currently working on that. A little help in the weight loss department wouldn’t be a bad thing either! Since I am so energetic, I think we could tackle that one easily.
