Howdy! My name’s Sara and I would love to make your acquaintance!
I am a 12-year-young basset that loves to relax, go for walks and sleep. Actually, sleeping is one of the best pastimes and I am quite good at it. I lived almost my whole life with my previous family (my Mom was even a vet, so I’ve always been kept very healthy), but then they moved overseas and didn’t think the long plane ride and adjustment would be good for me at my age. So, I moved in with my human aunt, but unfortunately she suffers from some chronic illnesses and cannot keep me permanently.
I know some great tricks, like come, outside, sit, walk and my favorite: snack time. I’m used to having a dog door and I know what to do, but I’ve started to need a little help with accidents in the house. I try my best to go outside, but I don’t always make it. With your help, I know I can do better. It might have to do with all my life changes lately, so hopefully once I get settled at your place and we can work together, it will be less of a challenge. I still have a lot of basset love to give!
I excel at fence inspections and will let you know if there’s a weak spot. Seriously, I am a bit of an escape artist and can get out of the yard if there are loose boards.
I would love to meet you, so come down to BHRSC and ask for Sara!
Sara is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $150.
