Red

Red

Howdy everybody! My name is Red – just like the Red River between Texas and Oklahoma and that is fitting because I have just come on a long cattle drive from cowboy country!

I am about 3 or 4 years old, and was rescued after being surrendered to a shelter. The shelter folks think I may have experienced some abuse at some point, but I try not to let any former sad times detract from the happy times that I know are just around that corner now that I am here in California and about to find my loving forever family! I have a very friendly attitude toward everyone.

I am a very sweet guy (and super-cute too, or so the shelter and BHRSC ladies tell me!) and have a heart full of basset love just waiting for you. Speaking of hearts, I am currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, but it is going smoothly and I expect to be clear soon. In addition to my forever home and family, something else I am hoping you can help me find is some good cowboy vittles – I am a skinny fellow!

The sooner you come down to BHRSC and meet me, the sooner we can start the rest of our lives together! I just can’t wait to get started! Call now!

Red is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $350.
