Hi basset lovers!  My name is Princess, and I am an outgoing, loyal gal of 4 years in need of a loving forever family.  People have not always been so nice to me, but I am sure you are just the family to help me overcome some of my anxiety around loud noises and validate my faith that wonderful, loving humans are just out there waiting for me.

I have been a working girl my whole life – I’ve spent all my years as a backyard breeder, and the breeders were just going to dump me!  Thankfully BHRSC swooped in to save the day.  But because of my previous line of “work,” I am a little bit plump.  I could use some help losing some of those pounds – maybe we can go for walks and play together?

I am a very friendly girl, and I will return your affection exponentially.  But because of my background, it sure would be nice if my new family is willing to help me learn to be a good indoor dog.  It would also be great if I could live someplace with another dog, to help me with the transition.  If you are looking for more than one wonderful hound to add to your home and hearts, I get along well with my friend Milito, who is also here at BHRSC.
