Murphy

Murphy

What’s up, basset peeps?  My name is Murphy, and I am a 3-year old adolescent hound looking for the right forever home to settle into. I’m hoping that’s at your house, where we can cuddle and play and you can help me grow up into the mature adult dog I’m meant to be!

I have rescue experience, but my background before that is something of a mystery.  Somewhere during that time, something reinforced my defensive instincts.  I’m almost always a wonderful boy, sweet and loving toward people, and I love to run and play with other dogs my size.  But every now and then, something makes me think I need to protect myself, my food or toys, or my people.  For this reason, we think it best if there are not any mini-humans or small dogs who live or regularly visit my new home, and that my new family can provide consistency.

I have actually been feeling less anxious since stay-at-home went into effect.  I do well with structure and routine and when there is a family member around all day.  I really love to play and I’m good on walks, in fact I go for more than one a day!  I hope to keep that up, and to keep dispensing and receiving lots of affection.  I’m good at that too.

What do you think?  Could we each be just what the other needs?  Call BHRSC and let’s meet up and find out!

Murphy is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $500.
