Hi friends! My name is Missy and as a 10-year old member of the American Association of Retired Bassets, I am looking for a loving forever retirement home. For many years, I was a “working girl” – I was used as a breeding dog – and the conditions weren’t always very nice or even very healthy. Once my “productive” years were behind me, I was dropped at a shelter to fend for myself. Thankfully, the shelter folks knew to call BHRSC, and BHRSC thinks I deserve a wonderful, loving, supportive home and family to help me enjoy my golden years! I’m not a needy hound, but I sure think that sounds nice. Could that be your home?
I’ll give you lots of love in return! I am a super-sweet girl and love to return any kindnesses I am shown with exponentially more adorable basset affection. BHRSC and the vet have helped me to recover from some neglect-caused ailments I had, and now I am shined up like a new penny! I could still stand to gain some more weight though. I’m sure you can help me out with some treats, right?
I get along great with other dogs and would really like to have a fur sibling in my new home. I have spent lots of time with my best basset buddy Lucky, so it would be especially neat if we could be adopted together.
So what do you think? Do you have room in your home and heart for a devoted senior lady (and maybe her devoted boyfriend too) by your side? Call BHRSC and meet me soon!
Missy is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $150
