Hi basset friends!  My name is Millie, and I am a sweet little girl of 4 years looking for my forever home and a loving family to help me see that there’s nothing to be afraid of anymore.

I have been with the same family for my whole life, but they are moving far away and I cannot go with them to the new place.  This transition has been very difficult for me.  I have only known the one home, and I am nervous about all these new things and not knowing what is going to happen to me.  So, I will need a special home and family where I can learn to relax.  It would be best if my new home is calm and quiet – lots of activity and hubbub can make me anxious.  I love people so I am hoping that there is a family out there looking for a friendly basset gal like me!  I get along well with other dogs but it would probably be best if any new canine siblings are pretty calm.  I can’t wait to meet your family so we can be cuddle-buddies!

I have lived outside for all of my 4 years, so I can’t wait to be an indoor dog and I am hoping my new family can be a little patient to help me learn about house-training.  I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it quickly!  Then I can go about the very serious business of relaxing with my people – maybe we can even take nap time together.  I really like to sleep and spend time with my people.
