Hi basset friends!  My name is Mickey, but instead of M-O-U-S-E, my last name is H-O-U-N-D.  And I am really hoping that soon, your last name and mine will be the same!  Like that other Mickey, I am a really friendly fellow and I’ve got lots of affection for everyone around me.  I’m 6 years old, but I have lots of curiosity and zest for life.

I was rescued from a neglectful situation, and I am a skinny fellow and could use your help getting some extra padding around my ribs.  I’ve always been an outdoor dog, sometimes even tied up in one place.  I can’t wait to come inside and really be part of your family!

I like playing with other dogs and especially sniffing all the amazing smells around me!  My curiosity might get me in a little bit of trouble, so even though I’m excited to become an indoor dog, it will be best if any outdoor space at my new house is well-secured so I don’t follow my nose and get lost.  I’m a pretty relaxed fellow, and I really enjoy getting pets and spending time with people.

Mickey is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines.  He has also had lab work and a veterinary dental cleaning done. His adoption fee is $350.
