Hi there! We are Loki & Freya, a pair of 7-year-old female bassets that just arrived at BHRSC and are looking for our forever home.

Loki here – Freya and I came to Southern California together when we were very young from Mexico. We are a bonded pair that love to go on walks, short hikes, visit the beach, and hangout at restaurant or café patios – we enjoy being very active!

Our family went through a bit of a transition recently and they can’t give us the attention we need anymore, so here we are at BHRSC.

Freya here – Loki is right, and we love to be very active hounds. Loki is more social than I am, but I always feel happier with her. It may be because I have a medical condition called Addison’s Disease. Basically, my body is unable to regulate cortisol, a stress hormone, but I take medication to stabilize this condition.

We are crate-trained but may need some help with potty training during our transition. With your help, we know we can be the best bassets and make you happy every day.

Loki and Freya are spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Their combined adoption fee is $600.
