Well hello there basset friends.  My name is Lady, and I am indeed a very dignified basset dame of about 8 years old.  I have had a run of sad luck lately: both of my human parents have passed away, and I need to find a loving new forever home.

I know just what to do when we meet and I get to go home with you!  You see, I have rescue experience.  My Mom & Dad adopted me from BHRSC about 4 years ago, and we were wonderful companions for each other and we all loved each other very much.  As you might have guessed, my parents were getting on in age.  My human dad passed away a couple years ago, and mom crossed the human version of the bridge to be with him just a couple weeks ago.

I’m a pretty calm and relaxed gal as you might imagine for my age.  I mainly like to just spend time being near my humans, and getting lots of pets.  I know all about how to use a doggie door, so once I get the lay of the land at your place, I don’t think we’ll have any problems there.  I like all kinds of people and get along well with other dogs, so if there are other canine family members that would be great. I would really like your help to lose a few extra pounds I’ve been carrying around lately too.
