Hey there! My name is Katie and I am a 7-year-old female Basset Hound looking for my forever home.
I am a sweet gal who loves slow walks where I get to explore, snoozing, and ear rubs – boy, do I love the ear rubs! Sometimes when I go on walks the grass just looks so comfy, I stop for a break. I could lay there all day and can get a little touchy when someone tries to move me, but it’s nothing a treat can’t fix.
I am crate-trained, but still have some accidents in the house. I know with your help and some training we can work through this. I had a spinal injury last spring that required surgery, but I have been working hard to help get my body back in motion.
While I was recovering from the surgery, sometimes I used a wagon to get around the neighborhood and I just loved it! My foster said recently that my back legs are getting stronger every day and I can now hop up on them! I’m able to put weight on my hind legs now and I’m tripping less. This makes me and my friends so happy and I know I am moving in the right direction.
Contact the folks at BHRSC and let’s set something up because I would love to meet you!
Katie is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $350.
