Hi basset friends! My name is Jimmy, and I am a sweet-natured basset gentleman of 11 years in need of my forever retirement home. I love to explore and meet new people and creatures of all kinds, so I can’t wait to meet your family!

Even though I am a senior basset, I still have lots of spring in my step. I love to go for walks and smell all the wonderful smells, and I really like to go to the park! At the park I can meet and love on all kinds of people! I like other dogs too, and have  happily had cat roommates for some time now. I especially like kids, and they seem to like me an awful lot too! If I’m being totally up front, I really like beef and bacon-flavored treats too, but not as much as I like to spend my days giving love to my  people (and pretty much any other people I meet too!).

It would be best for me if I could be with a family that has a house where I can have easy access to the yard, or someone is home most of the day. I am totally house-trained, but as I have gotten older I have to go a little more often (guys, you understand!). It has gotten a little tougher for me to hold it as long as I need to when I have to wait for someone to come home and let me out. But if I have yard access, I know what to do! I also need to take a couple of medicines each day, but when they come in those yummy pill pockets I don’t mind them!
