Hi there basset lovers! My name is Harley. I am a very sweet 6-year old basset boy, but I find myself in dire need of your assistance! I have lived my whole life with my previous owner. I was well tended-to and we were happy together. But then my owner became very ill with something called cancer. She’s got to focus on that fight and isn’t sure how it will turn out, so we made the difficult decision that it would be better if I could sniff out a family who has been waiting to add a loyal, loving basset gentleman to their home forever.

I’m a very calm guy, so no need to worry about crazy puppy antics! I’m very good on a leash – in fact, I’m used to both morning and evening strolls with another dog. I get along great with everyone – kids, dogs, even cats, although I find them a little emotionally inaccessible. In addition to going for walks, I like playing with stuffed animals, being around the family, and being a good companion dog. I like being around my people so much that one of my favorite things to do is lay on your feet so that I know we are in close contact. And of course I love belly rubs!
