Bonjou, koman sa va?  That’s Creole for hello, how are you?  My name is Gumbo, and while I am a 3 year old California boy, I tried to learn a little bit about my namesake.  Apparently it is a delicious dish from Louisiana.

I too am a delicious dish if I must say so myself.  I am an energetic, loving, and very happy guy, and who doesn’t want that kind of companion?  I lived with a nice family since I was a puppy, and while they said I was very loving, they felt it was better for me to move in with a family that is able to give me some more time and attention.

I really like people and I get along well with other dogs.  I walk well on a leash, and really I just want a home where I can be with my forever family and love on them like I know they deserve.  I have been an outdoor dog my whole life, so I will need some help to learn the rules of house-training, but I will reward your patience with lots of basset kisses and endless devotion.  I think it’s a good deal!
