Howdy! My name is Gordy, but my friends call me Lady! And that’s just what I am, a quiet and dignified lady looking for my forever home.

I am about seven years old and came all the way from Texas thanks to the great folks at BHRSC. Lucky for me that I made it California, because I hear there aren’t many thunderstorms here. And that’s a good thing, because I really don’t like thunder or other loud noises!

I am one mellow, gentle basset that enjoys the company of other dogs, kids and cats — I get along with everyone.  I’m very quiet and low-key – all part of my ninja plan to win your heart!

What I would really love is a comfy couch, some treats and pets and a loving family that will take care of me. I promise I will be a good companion if you give me a chance!
