Well hi there basset friends!  My name is Goofy, and I am a senior boy of 10 years in need of rescue and looking for a forever family and my retirement doghouse (by which I mean people house that I get to live in).

I am a pretty calm fellow; mostly these days I just nap.  My background is a little bit of a mystery – a nice man found me wandering in the middle of a busy street.  He took me in and helped make sure I am nice and healthy and clean, and has spent some time now trying really hard to find my family, but no one has called or come looking.  So here we are at BHRSC so I can find some nice people who want me to be part of the family for the rest of my life!  I may not bounce around and act like it, but I am very excited to meet you!

We have learned a little bit about me in the time since I was rescued from the streets.  I am a pretty mellow fellow, I like meal time and nap time, and I understand how to go outside when nature calls.  My rescuer has two dogs and I got along fine with them, as well as all ages of people.  I seem to know basic commands.  I don’t have my sharp fighter-pilot vision anymore, so I can get a little bit nervous when someone approaches from an angle I can’t see very well, or when I am awoken from a nap.  But on the whole I am a sweet old guy and I just need to learn the routines at your house.  I am sure we will be great companions!
