Hey there! My name is Flash and I am a 13-year-old senior boy. I am a BHRSC veteran – 4 years ago I was adopted and moved with my new family to Mammoth, California. Unfortunately, I have had a bit of a sad time lately.  My mom passed away, and the place where my dad lives told him I couldn’t stay there anymore!  My dad knew I couldn’t become an outdoor dog where it’s so cold, so while it broke both our hearts, he thought the best thing was for me to find a forever family where I can live inside but also lay outside in the sunshine when I want.  I don’t like the cold – at this age you just want to warm your bones!  I was a much beloved and cared-for hound: when I came back to BHRSC I had all my favorite blankets and was well-groomed and even nattily attired in my best winter coat.  So this has been hard on me, but I know that BHRSC will help find the perfect forever home for me to soak up the sun and follow my family around.

I behave well on a leash, but to be honest, I don’t really much like to go for walks anymore – I really just want to nap and be close to my people. I get along great with dogs, cats and children. I am a very mellow and sweet dog – a true gentleman! I do need a little help here and there – I know how to use the dog door, but sometimes it is a little bit of a challenge for me to make it outside in time  (I don’t always see very well)… so I need a family that understands and can help me since I am a senior dog.  In return I promise to be the perfect laid-back, affectionate gentleman to add to your family.

While I’m no longer as fast as my name implies, I am positive I am speedy enough to steal your heart, so please come down to BHRSC and pay me a visit!

Flash is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $150.
