Hey there! I’m Fernando, a one-year-old male Basset Hound looking for my forever home. I am sweet, easygoing and still have a ton of puppy energy!

I was initially surrendered to BHRSC in June after my owner was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and rapidly declining health. I initially found a new home, but that didn’t work out so I’m back with BHRSC to try again.

I’ve heard humans refer to me as a Velcro dog, and I’m not sure what that means, but I love to be around my humans a lot.

I do have some problems with resource guarding and would be best suited for a home without young children. Humans that have experience working with dogs with resource guarding would be a bonus, but not required. BHRSC will provide tips and tools to assist with a training plan to set me up for success in my new home.
