Hello there hound-dog friends! My name is Dolce, and as my name implies, I am just the sweetest senior basset (13 years old) gal you could ever hope to meet. In fact, I hope we do get to meet, and soon, because I suddenly find myself in need of a loving forever family and retirement home.
I will know just what to do when we meet, because I am a BHRSC alumni! I was adopted by my wonderful human mom & dad 11 years ago, and we have had a lovely life together. But they are also now seniors, and the last few months they have both fallen ill. They need to focus on their own health fight and worried they couldn’t provide the kind of home and attention I deserve anymore. Thankfully, they knew from our own experience that BHRSC would help me out.
I’m a very laid-back gal – calm and relaxed. My favorite things to do are nap, interact with people, and go for mellow, age-appropriate strolls. I’m used to going for 2 walks a day and I still really enjoy it! Perhaps keeping up the routine will help me with this transition. I was with my family almost my whole life so I have to admit this is a little bit of a confusing time for me. I could really use your love and reassurance.
What do you think? Doesn’t a laid-back senior gal who just wants to be by your side sound like just what you’ve been missing? Call BHRSC and let’s meet up!
Dolce is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She has also had lab work and a veterinary dental cleaning. Her adoption fee is $200.
