Daisy Mae

Daisy Mae

Hello basset lovers – my name is Daisy Mae.  I am a very sweet 11-year old gal, but I am in a jam and I need your help!  I lived my whole life with my previous human mom, but she was recently in a bad accident and spent a month in the hospital.  She has significant injuries and the doctor said that she needed to focus on her own recovery and that it wouldn’t be fair to either of us for her to be trying to take care of me, too.  So here I am at BHRSC looking for my forever retirement home!

I will need a little bit of patience from you while I adjust to my new normal. My ears were kind of a mess when I arrived at BHRSC and I had to have surgery to remove my ear canals. I can’t hear anymore but to be honest, I probably couldn’t hear very well before surgery anyway. And as a bonus, now I will never have an ear infection again!

I am a pretty mellow and laid-back retiree.  Since I have lots of experience being a basset, that means you won’t have to spend time teaching me indoor manners or the rules on walks.  In fact, I really like going for senior-paced strolls and am very good on a leash.  Plus, it helps me keep my nice figure!  I’m a very friendly girl with a big basset heart and lots of love still in it to give!  Doesn’t that sound like a great addition to your family?

If you think our hearts might be a match and your family just might be my forever family, call BHRSC and let’s meet as soon as we can!

Daisy Mae is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $150.
