Greetings and salutations! Chopper here. I’m a ten-year-old hound looking for a cozy retirement situation.

I’ve spent my working life on outdoor patrol, mostly on my own. My human supervision never paid me much mind, and because I’ve lived outside all this time, I developed some maladies that BHRSC is helping me out with.  For instance, I didn’t know that when you get to live inside, those mean old fleas don’t bother you!  But now that my environment is more hospitable, I’m getting healthier and even putting on some much-needed weight.

I still have some adjustments to make to indoor living.  But even though I’ve never been paid much attention, I am a super-sweet and loving boy.  I will be glad to work with you to perfect my indoor manners!  I’m moving a little bit slower than I used to, but I’m finally ready to surrender to a pampered life. Ahhh! There’s nothing better than a full belly and a loving lap to lay my head in!

Chopper is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He has also had lab work and a veterinary dental cleaning. His adoption fee is $200.
