Hi everyone! My name is Charlie and I am an 11-year-old, happy-go-lucky senior male Basset Hound looking for my forever home.

Sadly, my owner passed away suddenly, so I am now with the nice folks at BHRSC and ready to start the next part of my life.

I am a fairly easy going, fully house and crate-trained hound. I love meeting other dogs and people and can sometimes be quite vocal about it!  My foster mom says I sound like a seal! But most of all, I really like to stay close to my human. I would love it if someone could stay at home with me most of the time or provide another calm dog friend to hang out with. I  also love and look forward to my daily walks.

In the recent past, I injured my back jumping and received laser therapy which helped a lot. Since then, I like to set my own pace on walks and take rest breaks as needed. No more jumping for me! I am an expert at using a ramp on to the couch or into the car. I just had extensive dental work done and require ongoing medication for elevated blood pressure also.
