Hello basset friends!  We are Brutus and Cupcake, an adorable basset couple of 5 years young.  We have been together our whole lives and are quite inseparable, so we can’t wait to find a forever family that has room in their hearts and home for both of us.

Like many ladies, I (Cupcake) actually wear the pants in our relationship, so I’ll be happy to tell you all about us!  We had been with our previous family our whole lives, but they had a change of circumstance that sadly did not allow them to keep us.  But we are good hounds, and we’re really good at loving and being loved, so we know we could be a great fit for your family!

My companion Brutus is just a big love-bug.  He loves to get pets and play with people and other dogs.  He’s very enthusiastic about showing you love and doesn’t always know his own size, so it might be best if any children in the house are older so he doesn’t accidentally knock them over.  Like most middle-aged couples, we worked out any issues between us a long time ago, but if there are other dogs in the house Brutus will definitely check to see if they’ve left anything in their bowls after he has inhaled his own meal, and might even try to nudge them aside.  We’ve been working on this though, and we’ve been amenable to our lessons, so we don’t think it will be a problem if you have other dogs. We love to play and we really just want to be loved! We love to cozy up on the couch or bed, too.

Cupcake is spayed and Brutus is neutered, and they are both microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, had labwork and dental cleanings. Their adoption fee is $900.
