Hi everybody!  My name is Bobby, and like Bobby Ewing on that old soap opera Dallas, I am a middle-aged guy getting a second chance at life!  I am a sweet 5 year old basset boy, but instead of exploring for oil like those Texans, I am exploring for my new forever family.

I have lived with the same family since I was a puppy.  They have always been very nice to me and taken good care of me, but changes in their life mean I can’t stay with them anymore.

I am sad to leave the only home I’ve ever known, but I am a very mellow and easy-going guy, so I am sure I will adapt to changes well.  I like being around people, and am really just a sweet little love-bug.  I like to go for walks and I don’t get anxious around new things.  I really love to play!  So much the better if we get to have playtime together, but given a couple toys I am pretty good at self-entertaining (although like most bassets I would definitely prefer to be around my people!).

Previously I was an outdoor dog, so it would be great if I could find a family that wants me to move indoors with them, and is willing to have a little patience with house-training.  I’ll get the hang of it quickly and then we can focus all our attention on being sweet to each other!
