Hi everyone! My name is Bennie and I am a 3-year-old male Basset Hound looking for my forever home.

I am a very energetic dog that loves to play and gets along with other dogs. I am not a typical couch potato basset and would much rather be sniffing out my next adventure, playing with other dogs, or squeaking all the toys.

I love to walk and get very excited when I figure out we’re about to go on a walk. Though I am still a bit skittish around new people, I have improved a lot. With patience and the right training, I know I can improve even more.

I would do best with someone who is active, but doesn’t have a lot of different people coming to the house since I can be nervous around strangers. I love toys and puzzle games and am learning to redirect my extra energy into playing with toys.

I enjoy being around other dogs and learning from them. Sometimes I can get a little too wound up when playing, but can be easily redirected with a toy.
