Hi basset friends!  My name is Beauregard, and just as my name suggests, I am a dignified Southern gentle-hound of 8 years.  I just arrived here in SoCal on the Hound Haul, and I am looking for a loving forever family to join for the rest of my days.

The rescue and Hound Haul helped to liberate me from a scary place called a shelter, where I was found in East Texas.  I’m not sure what happened that I wound up there, but it’s no place for a mellow family hound like me, so I am very glad to be out here.

Given my age and experience I have a pretty circumspect attitude toward things – I am sure everything will be alright in the end.  Mainly because I know you are here waiting for me to join your family, and that we have lots of love to go both ways!  I am hoping that you have a little patience to help me review my indoor manners and finish up my heartworm treatment (it is going very smoothly and the BHRSC vets say I will be right as rain in a flash – and anyway it has no impact on how much basset loyalty and affection I can show you!).
