Hi there youngsters, my name is Bassy and I’m glad to meet your acquaintance! I’m a female senior hound of 14 years; and unfortunately, I am looking for a new retirement home to spend the rest of my retirement. I’ve lived with my family for 12 years, but they are moving to a place that doesn’t allow pets, so I’m in search of a new home too.
I get along well with other dogs and kids and I walk well on a leash, and I also know basic commands. I would like to have a yard to play in but I would also like to spend plenty of time indoors getting love from my human companions too.
I’m a good girl and while I try my hardest sometimes I just can’t make it to the doggie door on time, so sometimes I have a little accident in the house. With positive reinforcement and love I promise to work hard on getting my accidents under control, but I sure could use a family that can be kind and patient about these sorts of things. I also prefer to not be bothered when I’m sleeping. I get a little grouchy if I’m startled from my sleep, but who can blame me? No one likes to be woken up!
My favorite past time is being a lap dog and getting lots of pets and love.
Do you have a retirement home for me to enjoy my senior years? If so, run over to the BHRSC website and fill out an adoption application! I can’t wait to meet you!!
Bassy is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $150.
