Hello California basset fans!  As you might imagine from my name, I am a true sweetheart of a girl.  I am almost 6 years old and just came here from Oklahoma on the big Hound Haul.  I am very happy to be here, but I am very happy all the time!

I lived my whole life with the same owner.  I was a much beloved and well treated hound, but my owner was very old and began to suffer from failing health.  It was a sad time for both of us, but we decided it was better for me to come out here so they could focus on getting better.

I am a very happy, all-around sweet girl.  You will know because my tail is always wagging and I love to be near you and go for walks and see and smell new things!  I will even tell you how happy I am – I love to sing! I get along well with people (and while I like everyone, I sometimes seem to like men just a little better) and other dogs.  I was also a little bit spoiled in my old home – I had bed privileges and am told sometimes I was a little bit of a bed hog.  If there are rules about the bed at your house, I understand, but really it’s just a way for me to snuggle even more with you!
