Aunt Betty

Aunt Betty

Bonjour, hound lovers!  My name is Aunt Betty, and I am a stately 6-year old European basset dame.  Being a refined Continental lady means I might be a little bit different than other bassets you are used to:  I am a little big bigger, and I have tons and tons of gorgeous wrinkles! I have even been told more than once that I could be a show dog.

Truthfully, I don’t want to be a show dog.  I just want to be loved by my new forever family.  Could that be you? I’m a very good dog, but things have been a little sad for me lately.  Apparently the human singer Bob Dylan said that “the times, they are a-changin’” and unfortunately that has been the case for my family.  My best doggie friend passed away, the kids I grew up with got really big and went away to some place called college, and my mom and dad are moving to a much smaller house where I wouldn’t have room to play.  I’ve been really lonely lately without any friends around all day.

I’m a very social gal – I just love being around my human family and any dog or cat friends!  I would do great in a home with other canine friends, with kids around, or where someone is home most of the day.  I know and respond to several commands and am very calm and relaxed. I really enjoy staying close to my people – I like to play, but I’m just as happy to hang out with you.

What do you say?  Shouldn’t we meet ASAP and see if our hearts are a match?  I bet they are!

Aunt Betty is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.  She has also had lab work and a veterinary dental cleaning. Her adoption fee is $350.
