Howdy everyone! We are Jax & Gwen, a bonded pair of bassets that are looking for a forever home. 

Jax here – me and Gwen are best buds and have been as long as I can remember. I am six years old and Gwen is four years old. I am a relaxed, calm guy that gets along with people and other dogs. Though I am not an escape artist, if the door is open, I will take off and make a game out of catching me – I think it’s fun!

Gwen and I are both crate-trained, and we know that’s our place when it’s time to go to bed or when our family leaves.

Gwen here – Jax is right that we are an inseparable pair, and while he is calm and collected, I need a bit more support before I feel comfortable. I can get anxious with new people and other dogs at first, but I warm up really quickly, especially with Jax by my side. He helps me feel safe and I can’t imagine life without him.

Our lives have been completely turned upside down so we need a family who is understanding and will provide some guidance as we adapt to a new home, but we know someone out there is looking for a great pair of hounds! Please call the folks at BHRSC because we would love to meet you!

Jax and Gwen are neutered and spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Their combined adoption fee is $750.
