Hi there basset lovers!  Happy summer!  My name is Lola, I am an energetic, sweet girl of 4 ½ years, and I need help!  I was rescued once before through BHRSC and I’ve lived for the last couple years with a really nice family.  But now they are sadly losing their home.  It is very hard for all of us, but they think the best thing for me would be to find a forever family that can provide some stability.

I am a super-sweet gal and I know I will be a great addition to your family.  I get along great with kids and other dogs – I really like to play with other dogs, so if there are canine brothers and sisters at your house we will be a happy little band!  I am totally house-trained too, so no need to spend time on that.  I especially like belly-rubs and cuddling.  I’m a real cuddle-bug!  If you’ll let me I’ll just crawl up in your lap and we can snuggle the day away.  My feelings get a little hurt when I get a special treat like a new bone but then someone tries to take it away, so I’ll let you know about it.  But I am a perfect lady with daily food, normal toys, etc.  Aren’t there some toys and cuddles at your house that are just waiting for a little basset girl like me?
