Hi there! My name is Bailey and I’m looking for a new family who has a lot of energy because I LOVE to play!

I’m about 8 years old, and to be honest, I have some pretty long legs for a basset. In fact, some folks have said I look a little like a coon hound mixed with a basset, but a hound’s a hound, right?

I didn’t really have a home for a while and I was found wandering out by a lake in the Midwest. I am re-adjusting to living inside and to not having to scrounge and compete for nutrition.  I’m still kind of protective around food, so we think it would be better if I could live in a home without small children. I had some medical problems when I was rescued, but the folks at BHRSC are fixing me up and I am ready to find my forever family to continue to help me feel 100%!  I am working through with my heartworm treatments, and my heart can’t wait to welcome you into it!
