Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California appreciates you taking a foster hound into your home. We rely on foster families to provide basic information on the hounds they take in, which helps us determine each basset’s likes, dislikes and unique qualities.
Give your foster hound a week or two to settle in before you begin training and evaluating him or her. Then, go through each of the items in the hound report card below, grading the dog’s performance as you go.
Take your time. It’s not necessary to complete all the items in a single day or week. You may regrade your foster hound over time, especially when you notice improvement in multiple areas.
If you have any questions about the report card, do not hesitate to e-mail our foster coordinator.
